The guest host for today's special 'Earth Day' show is Brad Bannon. Brad runs Bannon Communications Research, a polling, message development and media firm which helps labor unions, progressive issue groups and Democratic candidates win public affairs and political campaigns. His new show, 'Deadline D.C. with Brad Bannon,' airs every Monday from 3-4pm ET.
Brad is first joined by Brian Keane, President of SmartPower. For organizations and companies looking to engage customers in energy efficiency and clean energy actions, SmartPower is the bridge linking directly to residents and businesses.
Brad and Brian discuss how clean energy has changed over the past 20 years, how much less expensive it is for consumers now, and where the industry is heading in the future.

Brad's second guest is Genai Lewis, a 23-year-old Hub Coordinator for 'the Sunrise Movement,' in Tallahassee, Florida. For those not yet familiar with 'The Sunrise Movement,' it is "a movement to stop climate change and create millions of good jobs in the process." They're "building an army of young people to make climate change an urgent priority across America, end the corrupting influence of fossil fuel executives on our politics, and elect leaders who stand up for the health and well-being of all people."
Brad and Genai discuss the 'Green New Deal.' This includes specifics of the proposal, the scientific reporting that is pointing to why this action is so critically needed, electing leaders into office who will pass it into law, and how long it could take to implement as a policy.
The website for 'the Sunrise Movement' is SunriseMovement.org and their Twitter handle is @SunriseMVMT.
Brad writes a column every Sunday on the 2020 Presidential race for 'The Hill.' He's on the National Journal's panel of political insiders and is a national political analyst for WGN TV and Radio in Chicago.
